Sword slice

Hi everyone, i am fairly new to 3ds max and i have looked all over the net for a tute for what i want but i cant, so just wondering if anyone could tell me how to make a sword cut an object in half because this is a vital part of an animation i am working on and there is nothing anywhere on this topic

Maya has method "Shatter". Max, i don't know. Usually dynamic makes in Real flow or Houdini.
