Looking for texturing tutorials

Hello, i would like to ask if anybody knows a good tutorial for texturing like weather and worn things(mostly metal stuff). I am really a lamo with texturing . I have found some tutorials on 3d total and here, but those where mostly making of's and i didn't get it to much. I am a begginer in texturing(not modeling) dirty and old scene(with clean car rendering it's quite ok). I would actualy want to make a scrathched metal surface. So thanks in advance.
