At least anought time for city to fall appart ('Buildings were peeling off", "Rains were washing out streets and roads, corroding metals", etc...). Instead of focusing on the deadly effect of the catastroph I choosed to show the renew of nature among the ruins of old town. The tree is in a strange place. It's true :) But there is some earth, water and light to feed it and the walls protect it from the wind. The radiations made it grew fast but tortured. I hope this explaination conviced you :D

| Learning... | Very nice ideas... i like it alot... nice job on modeling i like the car...trees and foliage rally good job. nice job on the water. texturing is also good tips/advice= try making the lighting just a little dimmer. you should make water leak out from your pipe. like my ghost city. also you should make the tree trunk a little smaller GOOD JOB i like it |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Good concept, good framing, good atmosphere, there is something which obstructs me, adds something in 1st plan in bottom on the left in the shade, a crane, a rat an object…. Bon concept, bon cadrage, bonne ambiance, il y a quelque chose qui me gêne, ajoute quelque chose en 1er plan en bas a gauche dans l'ombre, un crane, un rat un objet.... |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks :) It's still a work in progress :) I'm already working on water dripping from tubes and roof. I want to add some old and dirty props on the floor or in water to remind the human flee. I still have some material to improve. (like adding some displace or bump in earth material). I tried to add some 3D grass (fur modifier) but it's a bit to much for my computer :) About the foreground I thought about a part of the head of a train. But it may be too much for the readability of the picture. If I've enought time I'll give a try. etc... I will do what I'm able to do for the few days remaining. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | What a superb image. Your idea of the tunnel collapse and the compostition is very strong. The dramatic contract of space and light really works well. It almost feels like your looking through the eyes of whatever is lurking down there. Good luck with your final competition entry. All the best. |

I think my work fit exatly with the contest theme. :) Read brief again and you will see that we are suppose to create photos that last survivor of rescue team brought back. The nuclear explosion happened long time ago. At least enought time for city's remaining buildings start to collapse because of nature element, corrosion, etc... I could have create some green glowing water, lava craters, sky in fire, tornadoes, nuclear missiles burryed in the earth wayting to explode. Some evil zombie mutant rat with giants claws and cancerous bubble on head, looking at the camera with her 12 red eyes. But I think it's a bit too much stereotypical. I prefer my idea :) And my poor tree suffer enough to not have purple glowing leaves don't you think ? :)
