Do we need to prolong the competition?

Prolong about 1 week or 2 weeks?

это замечательная идея . очень бы хотелось поучаствовать в конкурсе , но нехватает времени на финальный рендер !! был бы безумно признателен !!

Agree with Adib too. Even you postpone the deadline of the competition also won't help, since most of the people who cannot finish do not read the forum now (I think maybe it's because they are too busy) and for those 'new-comers', they don't even have enough time to finish the competition. The participants should plan their time to finish it, or don't even take part if they are not sure whether they can finish the compeititon (I know my PC cannot handle large scene, that's why I don't even take part in this compeititon). It is their problem when they cannot finish their scene in time.

Thanks :)

Hi

It seems I'm the one of those who didn't get it on time. It would br great for me if the competition would be prolonged but on the other hand I doubt I'd get on time even if I had additional week or two.
I read the rules when I decided to participate and I agree that these rules should be the same for everyone.
I disagree with Need_Help that the ones who didn't finished their work shouldn't take part in competitions like this. For me it was great fun during this competition as well as previous (Lost World).
It looks that I feel I'm part of this community and I will take part in next competitions organised by 3DM3 for sure. Don't know if I manage to finish the scene but I always have lot of fun and no one can take it from me.

See you guys next time

@McKormick : There are many other 'small competitions' in this forum that will be held weekly, which can improve our skill of texturing, modelling, rendering (or whatever, just choose the 'field' that you are interested). Personally, I think it is better to make things have their 'endings', and not just half-way there (I will feel that I am wasting my time doing it, if the thing is just half-way done). Small competitions in this forum, such as Speed Modelling can help to improve our skills. I think it was 'prepared' for people who just have 1 or 2 hours in a week to take part, and improve their modelling skill at the same time.

Thanks :)

The way I see it we already have more than 20 finished images. I don't think (as McKormick said) that anyone else would finish in another two weeks. So what would be the point in prolonging the contest?
Anyway 30% of those who joined finished - and that seems OK to me.
