Lost World: Shakthi

Hey Everyone! I'm Shakthi from india. I'm just 18 and too young to challenge, but i'll try my best to win. I'm 1st pize winner in ALL india Drawing competition. Ok enough of my details. I Painted this one in 2d software, I try to express the theme " End of Jurassic Period", so that u can see the dinosaur with half skeleton and half skinned. It means that the world is getting vanished. So its a lost world of jurassic period and i think this digital art will make you wonder! Please dont forget to vote me......:-)

Hi Shakthi,

You have a nice sketch and textures here..However my only concern is the way you pose your T-rex..I just wonder if its possible for a giant lizard considering its size and weight to die and rot standing with only one limb on the ground?.. maybe you could consider making him lay down on the ground or lean on the side walls instead?..
well anyway its just my thought..I hope it helps.

Thanks for the idea raffy. Well i finished my artwork and i dont think so i can repaint it again. i dont have much experience, so from next time i'll try to make with good pose and realism.

My theme is...the t-rex getting in and its getting vanished as well as.....so i dont wanna pose in a dead body position.....

My work is not a compositing one like mixing the real images....its full and fully digital painting done by me...so please vote for me.......

You mixed some photos catched over the internet giving it a name: The Lost World.
It this a good work? Mixing photos isn't so simple. Very bad result.

i wish u win the contest, and i will vote for u just TOO SEE THE MAKING OF. because i'm so curious about your thruly painting skills, and i just can't wait to find out how u did such a great job finding the right composition, mood and light for this beauty.
i just can't wait to find out how u will show us the construction and anathomy of a dinosaur, and the posing in action....i think it will be a better tutorial than the one from gnomon.

look at the picture and u will see some striking similarities in the back of the trex(the foot that is in the air looks exactly the same as one in the pic)....so after all u mixed in some photos too....but u don't admit it. laaaaaaame.....
