That's a good concept but check the light direction. It seems different in various parts of the image.

thank u for your input on this one. I know that I have some problems of the light direction in the jungle variant, and also the composition need more refining because it is all off. I will improve that, but this was only a short exercise practice. i think i will continue with my initial variant.

That's a good entry but pay attention to the light direction..in some parts of the image it seems to be different..

Awesome! Glad you went back to your original concept. This Piece is OUTSTANDING. Even though I have entered into this contest as well, I gotta say that this last update you posted is defininately in the running for first place. GOOD LUCK :yaya:

some updates...a big fortress added. now working on adding some life to the environment...maybe some flying boats attacking the fortress...working on designing the flying boats and stuff.

and the ships integrated with the environment....Now I feel file I want to blow-up the fortress. :terror:

A personal choice I have in matte-painting and background work is NOT moving people or objects in my work since it's the compositors job to do. I personallyh think the flying boats are kinda distracting but I like the concept.

nobody said is a mattepainting....it is a concept of a lost world...and i did not brake the rules of the contest.

Yes you're right. I didn't say you where breaking the rules of the contest or anything.

Again, I like the concept. Just seemed to take away from the focus of the great landscape/cityscape you have going on.
