| CG Artist | ''The Lost Worlds'' - Real3d v.2 First of all Congratulations to the Admin People for Providing such a nice and global platform for everyone to show their talents and creativity, as well as technical skills. Also new aspiring artists are welcomed :) This would be a great and Big competition. About this 'Lost World' Theme, I think this is a pretty Big Concept because creating a lost civilization is not easy at all, you have do some research, rule out the irrelevant features and an extensive search for content to be included and learn some new technical skills at the same time and blah-blah. Overall, I think this is a Very Nice Theme to work on and Many new concepts can also be evolved here in. So Best of Luck to all Participants from my Side. Now some details on how I am planning to work on this: Well, I love to sketch my works before i actually start working on them, but before that I would need to gather a lot of information such as images or even text based on this theme, so basically I will do lot of sketching after I have gathered enough information, Extensively search the internet for details. I would post Updates such as Sketches or Line art as soon as i develop them and keep you updated for your comments and critiques. For Software Info, I am going to work extensively on 3dsmax for 3d work, Zbrush for adding further details, then make textures using illustrator, photoshop and genetica. Mostly will be using Vray materials for mapping but might consider Final Render as well, then finally use Photoshop for Compositing (if needed) and post-production. I am not of Professional myself but thats all the info, Initially I would be doing some searching for a couple o days then post my stuff here, so see you guys later, and Good Luck  ![]() |
