Rep Power: 0 ![]() | The Lost World - Terian Well i decided i should start posting something in these forums and have also decided that what better way than to start in a contest. So far i have these thoughts: - some kind of obvious previous destruction, whether too or around a particular city - I'm yet to decide on the inhabitants, i was thinking that what would be interesting would be to explore that old saying that cockroaches would be the only things alive after a nuclear explosion, maybe a cockroach inhabited city? who knows. - The city has to have a specific surrounding and feel to make it mysterious, jungle/cave/mountain/water so ill play around with a few of those. - Maybe a main character or a main group, maybe a group of explorers finding the lost world not sure yet. - much like planet of the apes i may have something not so noticeable but recognisable in the shot. A familiar building or sign. - I think i have decided i want a fairly stagnant image, not much happening but have it so it looks like alot is just about to happen. Thats it for now, i will post more later, hopefully i have enough spare time for this now that i have finished university for the year. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Decisions Ok so things have been going alot slower than i had hoped, but thats alright there is still ages left in this contest. Now for my clarification of my idea (the ideas from planet of the apes kind of won out so i'm prepared for flaming...anyways): I will be making a scene with a character in the foreground (more than likely an astronaut) this character will be standing on say a kind of cliff and the environment between him and the camera will be a mars ish environment. The cliff then fades away into the distance of a ruined city and then further off to the edge of the planet. There will be no atmosphere so it will be a typical space shot however the astronaut will be placing a flag into the ground and in the ruined city there will be a flag mostly torn that is similar/the same as the one the astronaut is putting in. when it comes to this type of scene do you guys reckon its wise to be very scientifically precise about things? or is it a fact that no matter what you do everyone is going to find a floor so if you extend science rules at least make it look good? anyways without a scanner i can't really post in my first sketch so ill give it a shot in photoshop and attach it here. |
