Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Hi everyone... I really wanted to enter this competition earlier but my job and my faculty just didn't let me :). Now, in last hour, I'll do my best as I am known for quick modeling to try to finish this work on time...if not...than, it'll be finished not as a competition submission, but just as a work for my sake. :) Anyway, i hope you'll like this one although by the end of competition it could be still just a Work in progress. Firstly, I'll post quick sketch (few minutes of work) just to start to work on. I use it just to remember the very first idea and to have some base to sculpt on..it' doesn't matter if finished work would even be look-alike to this, it's still cool and easy way to start. I'll try to keep u updated with everything i do during these two days till the end, and ofcourse, i'll try to work as fast as i can (athough i have only about half of a time, cause i have to study for exam on january 31st..bah :( This land is part of two different worlds I had in mind when heard about the theme of competition. This is a foggy, frozen land...land of mystery and land of unknown Dark Lord...which later attacked flying islands of heaven divine and they both perished and left the land unprotected...without God and without a ruler...during these decades...the good and te bad were forgotten and both of empires were lost forever...just a tale of great battle of their gods left... I really wanted to make it more massive and to make both of sides, but as limited in time, i'll try to stay in my style of simple scenes, trying just to give good feeling about the picture and to give sense of an atmosphere inside.. Sorry for long text...:) And here's that first few-minute sketch i started working on... So...in these two days, all comments will be more than helpfull and encourageing :) thnx in advance |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Here it starts with 3d...i mainly and roughly finished modeling of the ground in first and second plan...it's still left to do i for the furthest plan and background, but it shouldn't be such a problem, as it's not that visible like this one. Wire is pretty dense, and over it, i'm starting making displacement maps to enrich it even more in render. So, here is this starting geometry. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Oh yes, i forgot to mention that those are ofcourse just viewport screenshots, not renders, so it looks like lacking an AA filter and per pixel shadows, but, it's totally different in render ofcourse. Well, it's all done till now in few hours....experience from my studio teaches me that i should not enter all the little details on this ground right now, but i should pass to next stage of scene development to get more and more aspects of image brought close to the end..just to get overall preview of whole picture as soon as possible, as the time is running out. So, let's go to the castle modeling :) |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | And whilst modeling parts of castle, i was playing with textures, rendering and post too...just to get a quick preview... So here's a little time spent on rendering and post producting closest parts of picture. I wanted to achieve that dreamy look, and i think it'll go ok like this. C&C vey welcome! :) Next, i continue modeling for castle...there will be some mixture of modern technologies and old school like the parts i modeled above...you'll see... |
