Rep Power: 6 ![]() | The Lost World: Alper hello everyone and good lucks. Finally i've decided what i want to do and i just started. I have a sketch but i can't show you at this moment because its in my mind. This is the small castle where archers stay to protect the main castle. Both of them are surrounded by sea. Only one way to enter the main castle is our small castle. Last edited by AlperGÖNEN; 03-03-2012 at 04:38 PM.. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | oops! i forgot to tell the story. they were the last humans -which lived that castle- (which i haven't modeled yet). what i will try to show in my last scene is creatures (i didn't find a name) attacking the castle. they will kill all survives and no more humans on the earth. i tried to tell but my english don't lets me more :) |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | a few things left waiting being modelled. archers, creatures, human king's palace, thing in town like streets and somethings like that. after that i'm going to start modeling details, holes, shapes on walls etc. next, i will make textures, bumps etc. but i need a advice about which perspective would be good. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi. As to me it looks like castle laying in the puddle and moreover square, too regular puddle, try breaking the rocks on one side so it will look like a gulf or river ramification and settle a castle on some rocks. And I don't like the castle texture at all. Don't get me wrong but it looks not real, like a toy castle, which by mistake was put into incorrect paint bucket. I hope it is not final texture, try blending few diffuse textures together using different masks e.g. noise , celular wave maps with different parameters And the most important thing do not forget to add dirt everywhere you can. My purpose was not to critisize your work I just hope I could help a bit but of course it is your world and can do it your way. best of luck in your progress |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | better try to lower the size of ground textures they will look less blurry. I don't know what is your idea of the ground should it be rocky or plain. if rocky then you should remove smoothness in areas where rocks should be and more of rocky texture should be visible (increase blending amount) if your terrain is going to be plain then increase blending of grass sand texture. textures must be high resolution tileble seamless, combined with smaller texture size in material editor. put some paths on the ground specially the way to your castle and few more on slopes will look good. the island on which castle is placed can be smaller, slightly extending the outer borders of castle walls but this just my vision of castle settled on rocky island as to water try darker blue (something like RGB: 28, 48, 58) color for diffuse, few noise maps for bump and fallof map for reflection with fresnel on. you can also use multi-leyer for specular one with high level and glossiness and second with lower values for nice highlights i hope i could help |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | THANK YOU! again you gave me real good advices and thank you again. i will try to do what you say but i think the little island under the castle is good because i can add some details on that, like figures, statues etc. and thanks again for values of blue. see you soon :) |
