The Lost World

the pharse "the lost world" to me means literally a world that is lost. I don't understand how people can produce pictures of floating islands and cities in dense jungles, because by doing this you say i found this "once" lost place and in finding it is no longer lost it is "found". When somehthing is lost it is lost forever it will never be again even if rebuilt it is not the same something was lost.

Maw, by saying these things you are making the theme of this competition void, like maksy said - you should imagine how a lost world would look like in your perspective and how do concieve the idea behind the theme, we are not asking anyone to go and look for some lost city or valley, its just how an artist runs his mind to create something no one might have seen or even imagined, that said, welcome to the competition and hope you understand :)

How would you create something that has never been seen?

Thanks for your replys i understand fully what you have said but it was just that that idea was buzing aroun my head and i needed to let it out.

i also had another idea of how "the lost world" could be one where people have "lost" all there sense of morales and where murder rape and addition are the norm

however in saying this i will not be doing this and am starting on an under ground lost world inspired by the "dune" novels and the second part of a novel called "the eternal champion"
