Congrats!

Congratulations to the winners - Tigrenka - as always!!!!!!!

Hey, Tigrenka got a great model and deserved the win but gyps??????????
was that a weapon///???? Does that No War concept work here? Sorry if I am being a little rude!

I got two simple questions -1. Do you guys always give priority to only great Professional looking renders in this challenge?

2. What are you looking for in the winners for this Speed Modelling Challenge?

:shame: That gun was modeled in under two hours? :shame:

No way in hell!!! Stryker, seriously, do you actually think all those details can be modeled that fast? There is absolutely no way. Lose the 2hr rule and make a deadline. 90% of people on here are spending way longer than they say. I cant be the only person that sees this.

Hmm.

That would be extremely difficult for anybody to do in 2 hours. It would probably take me at least a day. Then another 2 hours just for texturing.
But, hey, don't just flame. Challenge the guy. Give him 2 hours, an idea, and turn him loose. Tell him to post updates of the project every 15 minutes to prove that he's actually making the model right then.
Then, when 2 hours are up, say what you want. Never underestimate anyone. You'll live longer that way. Or, at least, that's my theory.

OK, I just took another look at the pic. It would take me at least 3 days and maybe 2 hours for textures.

Thumbs down ??????

Hey, why the hell you guys fighting! :thumbsdow We do this for fun, right? :alc: besides, you guys might be a little slower then them thats why you think that It cant be made in 2 hours! And Mind you - THE MODELLING TIME IS 2 HOURS AND THE TEXTURING AND RENDERING TIME IS UNLIMITED, TILL THE CHALLENGE ENDS, OF COURSE! DID YOU EVEN POST YOUR ENTRIES OR DID YOU EVEN READ THE RULES!

Apparently your not looking at the same picture we are. Im not even talking about the texturing and render which I will add are very nice. But, no chance in hell was that gun modeled in under 2 hrs. I am a designer for a living and have been for years now so when you say I may be slower than him, probably not. I didnt put an entry in because its a waste of time because I actually do follow the 2 hr rule. The worst part about it is that there are people in these competitions that actually adhere to the rules and spend the given time to do their best and they are being cheated out of their time and effort. The second place model was obviously modeled in under two hours and its a great concept.

So, as you said, challenge someone so here it is:

I challenge anyone to recreate that model in two hours or less. For those of us that are sticking to the two hour rule, good luck winning against those that are submitting their 6 hr models. I didnt submit one for the last two competitions simply because of that. And the strange way the winners are being selected. How hard is it to run a poll for a day and let the modelers on the site vote for their favorites? Giving an hour limit for modeling is just a bad idea, sorry...but you just cant trust people enough to follow the rules. It may be sad but its true, accept it or not.

Just to show I'm not a noob at modeling. Here is the clock he/she made in the second competition, this took 14 minutes for me to model, it took him/her 17 minutes. Brilliant idea btw.

This is a glock I modeled a while ago for fun, this model took me 14 hrs with all the details. So when I say that gun cant be made in less than two hours, I may know what I am talking about. Tigreka is a gifted modeler no doubt, but I question how far he/she will go to win a simple competition for "fun"

:buttrockx Hey, dont mind me! who cares about whos winning this challenge bcoz they are not giving 100000 Dollars in here for winning! :togo: , its just for publicity and fun and you also get to practice your skills!
you sound like a pro! then why are you wasting your time here, buddy! go to Pixar or Dreamworks! and by the way, there is still a challenge going on, the topic is kinda boring though but lets see, shall we? :super:

Don't quarrel guys. We have 4 judges I think we can choose the winner but we can remove voting without winners as well. Everyone who take part in this challenge do it for themselves not for win or award.
