Rep Power: 0 ![]() | What about continue&upgrade type competitions ? For example there is a sketch of a 2 simple and funny characters, so the target is not just to made them 3D but to compose them in some "art" point of view.. funny, ugly, dramatic ect... Or made a model of the most stupid and unneeded but very constructive, fun and art thing. There is many ideas, i think the main target of the competition should be not only modelling and drawing skills but there must be an FEEL OF ART. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I suggest thee to make a competition in which participants should model a fortress in any kind of environment and arrange soldiers, ramparts, flags etc. Participants should sbmit only three images of the fortress but should be able to represent as good as they can. Time limit should be only between 3 or 6 days. If you like this please reply. Thank you - Mihir |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Just a Thought Why not have a competition where all participants have to create a character that has to abide by certain specifications, such as age, gender, personality, the era or place that the character lives in and so on. Everybody has to create, in essence, the same character but the representation i.e. the look of the character is up to the individual artist. The competition should be run on a monthly basis and members given the opportunity to vote for thier favorite during the first week of the following month. The competition should also be open to both 3d and 2d artists Last edited by TheWoolfe; 10-18-2006 at 02:35 PM. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | i think that an animation challange is a "must have" on 3dm3 i have read tones of ideas on this thread , many are just the equivalent of speed modeling or low poly chalenges, why not have a new challange like animation. i guess not everyone is in to this challange becouse of the time that it eats but there are so many ways to animate in 3d. for instence you could have just ca camera move like a reel, or you could have a still camera with objects in motion or both. ideas of angles and movement come working just like " hunger comes eating " (thats a romanian say). i can give you lots of examples and themes on the animation playgound: animate a room (living room , club , bar , museum, showroom ) animate an exterior ( architecture , landscape) animate wind in an enviorment animate fire animate explosion animate colision animate character just with camera view animate character in motion animate mechanics ( robots , indusrty stuff) i rest my case. ![]()
