Rep Power: 0 ![]() | StreetRace: Toyota Celica Hello everyone, I would like to join this competition. My model will be a 00-05 Toyota Celica. I am at work and not able to start right now but will start when I get home. I have one question though, I have never tried to do low poly or game art so this is a noob question for sure but, is the poly count affected by the meshsmooth modifier? I have done a few cars but have never worried about poly count before. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Yeah i think MeshSmooth doubles the number of polygons for each iteration (sorry if i misspell lol). What it does is divides each face and avarges the positions of the new geometry to provide a smooth finish :) Good luck with your project dude! |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks for the response gents. So just to make sure I understand my model should be less than 16000 pollies when it is all done and smoothed to my liking? Also are we doing wheels and tires too? |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks Maksy.:bouncy: I am hoping to maybe do 2 among other projects. This works out great because I just got done with a supra and wanted to do a celica so I figure I will do the shell for this then do a high poly version, engine, interior, ect... By the way do you guys detach the different panels on these or just chamfer and extrude the gaps? I mean the doors and hood won't be opened right?.
