Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Here is my quick entry. It is a glass mug modelled in Lightwave 9. Modelling time : 20 mins Texturing/Surfacing : 30 mins Renders : 10 mins For the benefit of others, i used a disc tool and beveled it in, chopped polygons for the handle, which was beveled. I then beveled the bottom out then in to create a unique bottom. I then beveled in to create the rest of the mug. The whole model was then subpathed/smoothed. Hope you enjoy and may we see alot better entries :yaya: |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Mug Here's my first entry in a speed modeling contest here in 3dm3, Hope you like it... Modeling: 30 min lightning and textures: 10min Render: an entire night (~9hours) (edit): Software used 3d studio max 8 to model and maxwell to render... Well i started with a spline and lathed it, then i transformed it into a editable poly, meshsmoothed it and detached/cloned the center polys, then i created some boxes with the shape of the holes and arrayed them, after that i subtracted them to the detached/cloned poly and finaly i created a box and modeled it to the shape of the handle and meshsmoothed it.... | Registered User | Hi everybody! Here's my entry. I went for design mainly with this one. I wanted to combine the ceramics with the steel and crome, to give it a bit of a rough look. The brushed steel on the inside of the mug, not only looks great, but also keep the tea, coffee (or whatever the mug might contain), warm. I hope you like it: Modeling time: 40-50 minutes Render time: About 20 minutes Texturing/Material editing time: 20-30 minutes Last edited by Anifacted; 11-05-2006 at 05:00 PM. |
