| CG Artist ![]() | Hi everyone and Welcome to 3dm3 Speed Modelling Competition New Speed Modelling Challenge is here! Subject: Guitar Description: Lets make it a bit more challenging this time, I was thinking of something little bit complex so i thought of a guitar, so you guys can spend more time modelling, all the rules are the same, except this one - Your Creativity. Modeling Time: 3 hours Start: Monday, 11th December at 12:00 am GMT End: Sunday, 17th December at 12:00 am GMT PLEASE READ GENERAL RULES (Sorry for Starting a bit late but because we have started another BIG Compeition, See Here) Post your entries in this thread! Here are some quick rules if you guys feeling lazy to read and ready to model  - Competition is open to everyone and anyone, worldwide - Model must be created by a single artist - Multiple submissions are permitted either - Your submission should be a model created especially for this challenge and not one you have previously created for own purpose. - Entries using models which are not original will be removed and the Poster will be disqualified for the current competition - Take your time and model, do not make haste to post a 10 minute model! - Describe how you created your model, references used, Methods or Techniques, This is not necessary but might make your chances better to win and for others to learn, after all, we do it for learning and Fun! - Always Cast your Vote on the Poll system, Thank You IMPORTANT CHANGE IN RULES, click here Main Technical terms: - You can use any 3d Package - Attach Only 2 images (Rendered and Wireframe) - For Wireframe, ONLY use Screengrab Process (PrintScreen) from Perspective View ONLY, No other methods of Wire Rendering allowed! - Do not forget to post your Modelling time - Texturing is allowed but not necessary - You can also post WIP Images but do not Overload the Forum! LOOK PREVIOUS CHALLENGES, click here Let your creativity flow! let's start and good luck to everyone ![]() Last edited by Real3d v.2; 12-10-2006 at 03:48 AM.. |

| m a n u e l b o r r a y o | Gibson SG here is my post A Gibson SG Standar, my favorite guitar, presented in 1961 as a variation of the LesPaul for the modelling i use Alias Studio Tools and 3dsmax, ST is a wonderful software, allows to make complex surfaces very fast, but for basic shapes i use polys in 3dsmax, its a shame that there are no many tutorials about ST Modelling Alias (1:30) Body Head Neck pickguards 3dsmax (1:00) knobs frets strings input jack bridges humbuckers machinery texturing (20 mins) rendering Mental Ray |
