| Supreme Digital Artist | Wow. That is nice Idrasil. Your fire is better cause it has only one or maybe few gizmos. Mine has more than one (40), that is why it looks white, but my fire has more original shape. Yet again, the color of the my fire isn't so great, but it depends also on the type of fuel that is burning... Great work, again nice fire effect Idrasil... ![]() Cheers ![]() |

![]() Hair&Fur set to geometry rendering for good shadows on the gras, an mr Area Omni scaled to fit the fire gizmo, raytraced shadows and a yellowish color to the omni. Then for the fire the settings you see in my screengrab. give it a try too! ![]()

![]() But how i used it: You have the objects like stones, branches en the plane ready. Create from Create>SpaceWarps>Forces>Gravity. Go to Animation>Reactor>Create Object>Rigid Body Collection. In RB Collection click Pick to import all objects one by one, or add to use the selection list. The pieces that will be interacting with each other include branches, stones, plane and gravity so those you have to add. Move the all the objects somewhere in space above the plane, because i let them fall and hopefully have a good, natural, realistic placement. Go to the Utilities tab>Reactor (As solver i use havok 3. Has more possibilities, but could be have for your system.) Select all items that will fall and under properties>physical properties give them a mass: 1 (for example) else they wont fall. Under Simulation Geometry you can set in what way an object will interact. Bounding Box and sphere are useless here because you have strange, twisted objects. For the branches I used Concave Mesh, so the geometry which is simulated is exact the geometry from actual branch. For the stones used mesh convex hull because it is a pretty raw geometry, without holes or something like that. for the plane use concave mesh because sometimes things will be floating in the air if you use other options. (here it went glitchy for me>) Under Preview&Animation press preview in window. after some calculation you get a window, press 'P' and watch your creation!! if you don't like the placement of everything, you can move things to a better place and get preview again. if you like what you see, press Create Animation. In the time-bar go to the frame you want to use and delete all keys from other frames if you're not planning of using the animation. What a storytelling!!!! I hope it is of good use for everyone. I'm no expert, but sometimes you learn a thing and here you can share the knowledge.
