New Speed Modelling Challenge!

Subject: Sport Shoes

Description: Sport shoes, classical or conceptual (doesn't necessary to model/mirror pair, one is enough)

Modeling Time: 3 hours
Start: Monday, 11th August at 12:00 am GMT
End: Sunday, 17th August at 12:00 pm GMT

My first Speed Modeling entry ever

Modeling = 3hrs
Rendering = 0 (Screengrab)
Software = 3ds Max 2009 with Polyboost 4.1

Etnies Skate Trainers

Modeling = 02:30
Rendering = About a day... I had major problems
Texturing = 1 min
Software = 3ds Max 2009

wow realy nice shoes alex. but you should try t oavoid the tris on the top front of the shoe. good entry ;)

ye i think i will try this competition :) like the subject.

dont know what i will be making yet. i find it important to have a clear minde of what your going to make, so you dont waist any of the the modeling time limits ;)

nice models so far guys!
i think I'll try to enter this comp, too :) Since I've learned some new stuff on 3d-modelling the last few days ^^ and these speed modeling comps are really nice for practise and inspiration :P

ow, and Norstu, couldn't you just use a bump map for all the holes in the shoe? ^^

Hi Bear, i would of loved to have used a bump map instead but because this is a modeling competition i decided not to.
Would of saved me a lot of time and polys
