Subject: Tree or bush
Description: Ok the challenge this week is any type of Tree or Bush .
I know this one will be a bit of a challenge so use the whole 3 hours and make a nice model.
Please don't let a plugin or other software do the work for you.
I don't like organics either

Here's my entry for this week! Hope you like it!

Modeling: +/- 60 min.
Texturing: 10 min.
Rendering: 5.42 min.
Software: 3ds Max

Dident set my sights so high on this one. Basic Palm Like Tree.

I had some futuristic ideas, mostly inspired by the "here stood the last oak" in the short movie on the Ice Age 2 DVD :p

hi everyone! this is my strange tree. I dont really know what kind of tree it is , its just some tree.

my entry is a bonsai.
I never modelled a tree before, and creating the leaves is very difficult. I tried a few different things but ended up with this.

modeling time: 110 min
texturing time: a few hours
render time: 11min 18sec
software: Maya 8.5

Here's a little bush done with PArray. I dont recomand this option on high parameters unless you have a good computer.

Modeling : 1:30 hours
Texturing: 1 min
Rendering: 2 min
Software: 3ds Max 9

yes PArray its the short term for Particle Array.You can find it on the main toolbar Create>Particles>PArray. you have tones of options on the parameter rollout
