I have a question...I've started on this, and it's my first speed-modeling competition. I didn't see anywhere in the rules of this situation. My modling time so far, is well under 2.5 hours, but I've left 3ds max open, and did other things leaving it unattended. Does the modeling have to been done in one straight shot? Or can I leave it alone, So long as I still time how long it takes to model it?

Hi welcome to 3DM3

You can leave max open all week if you want, just count the time you are
accually working on the model.

All we ask is for truthful times

Thank you Vandal. I'm going to resart my model though. I've learned a ton of new methods for selections and modeling in my attempt to cut down my time! Not to mantion I found an awesome alternative, so I don't have to use boolean.

Look forward to seeing all of your works. I'll get mine done tomorrrow. Too much school right now. ;p

Modeling time: 50 min
Texturing time: 3 min
Rendering time: 5 min
Software: Lightwave

Modeling time: 47 min
Texturing time: 45 min (testing and redoing textures included)
Rendering time: 6:43 min
Software: 3dsmax + Vray
