I'd do something better, but I really did not have time this week and I'm going to skool trip on Sunday. So maybe at Friday ? The thing is I don't have any inspiration due to stress at skool :(

Thanks for support :)

Anyway, I've got it: it would be little bit political : '68 cannon (Year 1968 in Czechoslovakia) :), revenge .... :D

kk, heres my futuristic cannon. I was thinking of making one of the cannons from star wars but I decided to create my own. Its pretty sloppy with how many polys it has but ill change that later

Modeling: 1h 50min
texturing: 15min
Program: Maya 7.0
rendering: couple of sec's

Yeaaah, great topic!

Here's my entry, I may do another one if I'll have time...

Modeling - 3dsmax, 1h 30 minutes
Textures / scene setup - 45 minutes
Rendering - VRay, 35 minutes (at 1200x750 resolution)

Eetwarti: Amazing cannon!
looks so real, I just have one question. When i looked at the wire frame, the main part of the cannon looks like its got 8 sides. How did u get it to looks so realistic in the render with so few polys?

Minimus: haha ok, but it wont look as good

Monkey wrench, I like to model cylindrical objects with as small poly counts as possible. Then I just use the meshsmooth modifier with a couple iterations on them...
