SPEED MODELING CHALLENGE No. 136 (Mosquito)

Welcome to 3dm3 Speed Modelling Competition

New Speed Modelling Challenge!

Subject: Mosquito

Description: Simply mosquito model of any style - realistic, cartoon etc.



Modeling Time: 2 hours
Start: Monday, 28th June at 12:00 am GMT
End: Sunday, 4th July at 11:59 pm GMT

theres a website called the blue prints
that has a load of Machine references im just using a side reference for the mosquito

Modeling 100 mins
Rendering 10seconds
Software used 3d max
Was going to texture it but i ran out of time practically:(

hey GreenBullet....nice work.....well as fr texturing...as far as i know, this challenge's time limit is only for modeling, so if you completed modeling in time, its perfect to take sometime extra and go ahead with texturing :)

so why not do it, pal ;)

Thanks man :) yeah im going to mudbox it up i think to add more detail and such
hopefully it doesnt mess up as much as the last one I created

Mosquito

Hey there here is my first model ever really lol

It took about 1.2 hrs for me to model and 10 mins to texture..

Tried for more of a cartoon style.. Kinda worked out.

Need some more experience in making textures and rendering..

Thanks for putting up a new challenge..

Here is my entry "Mosman the Manic Mosquito".. Comments and Critism welcome (not on the name hahaha )..

I've seen some nice challanges before so I decided to join in. I'm an engineering designer, so I used SolidWorks. Because thats what I'm good at. Hope you like it

Modeling time: 62 min
Texturing time: 22 min
Rendering time: ~15 min
Software: SolidWorks2009, SolidWorks Photoview 360

Nice mosquito in solidworks... I didnt think of doing it with that, Im studiying mechatronic engineering and we just did a course on programs like that.. Nice work
