UV Scaling

I'm just starting to get back into maya recently after putting it on the backburner for a while, and I seem to have forgotten some of the workflow. I'm at a point right now where I have my UV's all layed out for an object, and it's looking fine, except for one piece that is obviously taking up way too much UV space. Is there any way to scale the pieces in the UV texture editor?

just right click , choose UVs, select your UVs ( the ones you want to scale), then hit r on your keyboard or choose the normal scale tool, and here you go
