Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Snapping Verts question... I'm just wondering how to snap all the vertex's on the side of an object, into a straight line at once (so it mirror's properly), instead of selecting one at a time then moving it. Is it even possible? Thanks! im also using maya 2008 Last edited by Cory; 05-19-2009 at 11:54 PM.. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | select boarder using "select boarder edge tool" then scale all the way to the center of the manipulator tool, then using the move tool press X and snap to the center or select all the verts using shift |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi Cory. you can try this: Select all the vertices you want to move Press W for move tool Activate one axis by clickin (x,y,z) - it becomes yellow locate one vertice that is already in position Press V and middle mouse button click it (normally you have to wiggle the mouse to work) - Now the selected vertices have the same position in the selected axis. if you want to be at the same position, like one on top of the other, all you have to do is not activate one axis, with that all the axis are active so it will snap in x,y AND z. Tell me if you have any problems. |
