Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Size problem with Maya file? Hello everyone, I'm new here. I've been working on a project for the last few weeks which basically consists in building a city downtown in Maya. However, yesterday I tried to open the file and it failed, giving me a C++ runtime error. Does anybody have any ideas as to what happened? Could it be due to the file size? (It's more or less 105MB right now). Also, what is an acceptable file size to a medium-sized city, in a photo-realistic style? Thanks in advance! |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | in a old maya job I just lost my work because the file was so heavy, and 105 mb's I think that it is so heavy. First started with runtime errors, and then the textures that I make for this file, begun to failed, not charged in render and at least hang my machine. I don't know which is the limit in a maya file before starts to fail, and maybe as solution, just start to save polygons and trying to make the file as fine as you can. I hope that you can save your work. .... I¡ll keep diggin' 'thil I feel something. |
