Polygon Help

I am editing my verticies in subdivision. I now want to switch back to polygon but im over the Max poly count so, I checked my script editor to figure out how much i have to change my max cout to. I enter the max number(1062 for mines) just so it can convert. Now Im back in poly and im done doing what I was doing so, I need to go back to Sub.I convert back over and im losing all of the details i originally did in sub. Can anyone help me with this problem????

I have the images of the before and after i go from sub-poly-sub so that you can see the detail im losing

Heya:)

Once you convert back to polys with a max number of faces assigned, it will loose detail so that it can accomodate that value. So,when you convert it to subd's again, it will only convert that polymesh that you edited with the max number:) Hope that makes sense:)
