Modeling Importing Question

Hey Everyone,

I'm a relative newbie and I am trying to learn more about modeling in Maya. I have just started to use this site and I downloaded a lot of the models, hoping to practice with them in Maya 5.0.

My problem is, I downloaded some of the "house" models but they were in .MAX format. I have the plug-in for .3ds but not for .MAX.

How can a newbie, like me, import some of the house models into Maya?

I can convert *.max into *.3ds format. Please, give me the link to this "house model"

You need to realize that no program besides 3D Studio Max can import .max files. So you'll have to use a program like deep exploration to convert them. (Or the wonderful talents of our very own Stryker!) :D Just an FYI.

Later.
