Maya viewport Problem

Well, hi, my first post to this forum and I have this problem with maya, Maya viewport Problem-maya-trouble-copy.jpg
When in full screen, the screen is half covered in gray, and it is a little annoying working with this, so any help yout can provide is useful,
also here are my computer specs

Toshiba Satellite A305
Windows Vista Home Premium 64xbit
Intel core (TM) 2 DUO
2GHz
4Gb ram

from what i know vista isn't compatible friendly so i recommend changing the shortcut to run as administrator just an idea tell me if it works ;)

Well ive had a look around and it seems the problem points to graphics cards (do you have a ATI Radeon X1250? because ati have been known to have driver problems :/) i think i have another solution thou try downloading the latest drivers on the Toshiba website.

I guess It isn't a graphics card problem exactly. Try read this:
Hacer que programas anteriores se ejecuten en esta versi?n de Windows - Ayuda de Windows Vista

Maybe you will have to change your visual themes for a moment ;)

i think its because of the video card many ATi cards dont work properly with maya.What the model of your video card ?

Please remove windows vista Home premium 64xbit. You install window 32xbit. The maya do not suppot lowest graphic card in 64xbit. (easly u work in 32xbit window)
