Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Maya Help please? hi im curently trying to model a VW Golf MK2 in maya, its my first reall attempt at modeling anything in maya so go easy on me hehe anyways i have this model so far (creating it a slow way i suppose after reading a few tutorials anyway here is what i have so far: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() anyway if you look at the front wing of the car and then at the door, you will notice that the shadows are different one of the panels is smoother than the other they are created with the same cv curce and lofted (i think) and even more strange is the back door is copied from the front door then edited to a different shape i just dont understand it?? i cannot understand why they are different in smoothness as far as i am aware they are exactly the same settigns wise and texture wise, can anyone shed some light on the subject? here is a close up of the difference in shape im talking about when the object is rendered here the smoothness is identical when looking at the wireframe and hardware textured version in the preview ![]() Last edited by Steve B; 03-05-2004 at 03:23 PM.. |
