Hi, I use maya 9 i'm modeling a car, i did the image plane and inserted 3 views of the car. only one problem, when i create a new object, the image gets assigned to it! and not only images, if i just add color to an object, all new objects that i create gets the same color! i remove the matrials with hypergraph! for every new object that i create so it can get to it's default lambert! but thats just a work around! i need lambert for every new object it create by default, i hope i made my self clear. one more thing, when i change a color of one object... all objects in the view port gets the same color! or even if i change the image texture! they all change! help me out please! ![]() thanx Last edited by zabadok; 09-16-2009 at 11:05 PM.. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | just imagine when u apply a jpeg texture on an object, and every other object u create after that gets the same tex.!!! Maya 8.5 was'nt like that! please try to be helpful! |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Zabadok, I guess that you putted the text in the lambert 1 material... which is the default for every object you create in maya, and thats why every thing you create gets that material.... What i advise you to do is never change the lambert 1 material and whenever you want a different shader go do hypershade (window- rendering - hypershade) create a new material (blin, lambert, phong....) assing the name to it and tweak it. not the lambert 1, that will be every object default shader... see if that works, if not keep on asking regards. |
