Thats ok. but i wish to have some text going over the lath shader, around the side of the coned shape object. i have put a picture of my hypershade here i cant seem to find the answer to what i should connect or how i should go about this as its not a layered texture im dealing with.\ thank you |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Alright. firstly... lets go over somethings. - i wish to have some text going over the lath shader, around the side of the coned shape object. This would be done by either a projection, or simply on the texture map itself. - its not a layered texture im dealing with. I'm assuming that you have used a texture from highend3d, or some other site. They have used a procedural texture to get the effect of metal. The problem with this, is that you cannot map text over this texture without it being a layered shader. You either have to convert the texture to file , then apply the text in photoshop over the texture file, then reapply that texture file to your object. (you would have to UV map your object for this to work) Or you could use this shader as a base in a layered shader, and apply your text as a projection over top of it. Hope that helps. East |
