I need Help

I am beginning in the Maya and am needing aid to open archives .max and .3ds
which are the extenções that maya accepted?
they order email for me spawn_gothic@pop.com.br

well maya opens .mb (mayas default extension), .ma(maya ascii), .obj, .fbx and so on but the .max and .3ds can only be opened with max only.

Maybe you can export them as other format that Maya can support (probably .obj will be better) and import them in Maya.

omg we can't tell you modeling with polygons you learn that yourself for years to master...
download some tutorials...
google maya polygon modeling...
buy a book - that's the best option
good luck on you're journey (just so you know,im exactly at the same position as you ;)

if your novice in maya...what can you do...poly gone modeling are simple...sitt down for a day and serch for tutorials...i can promiss you....if you lay a bitt efford inn learning it will come fast.
