Hi everyone, I thought about helping the new users of maya of our forum and to get started I propose this thread where you can post the hotkeys, shortcuts, popup menus, customized popups... you like, so we can help speed the workflow.

My contribution is:

F8: Object type/ Component toggle
F9: Gets in Vertices mode
F10: Edges mode
F11: Faces mode
F12: UVs

I dont have anything to come with i only use the already presett hot keys inn max.

but i recomend learning/change the cut and conect tools. and select loop and ring. they are always handy to have a quick tuch to ;)

I'm starting in maya now (2 months ago) and i'd like to share that i has been learning yet.

Q - Select tool
W - Move tool
E - Rotate tool
R - Scale tool

G - Repeat the last used tool

Wow, no one else???

One more:

Ctrl+Shift+LMB = A shortcut icon in your shelve of the selected action... it works for almost anything... one thing it wont work though is Xray.
