| Digital Artist | Help me with edge loop My goal is this ![]() I'm new to Maya, but i get to do this ![]() ![]() I don't like these edge loop's in cheek and eyebrow of the worm, however ![]() ![]() How can i to do this things better? Can somebody help me? ![]() ![]() I want to do a facial animation to this character in future. I'm crasy about 3d animation. Thanks. |

| Hi man, how are you doing? so, i am seeing your model and its not bad indeed You already have the flow of the edges that you want (those red lines painted) so why dont you try to use 2 tools of maya: 1st: Split polygon tool - so you can draw those lines where you want, change directions and all... 2nd: Delete edges tool - so you can make the edges flow nicely without 5,3... sided faces and make'em nice quads. If you have some problem finding those tools tell me... There is also some nice shortcut keys if you need them as well, as you are starting in maya I dont know if you already know'em. | Digital Artist | I didn’t want to take any risks at first. So, i done it by extruding edges like that latest one. ![]() After, i decided to follow your tip. What is it like? ![]() ![]() Any way, Thanks. NOTE: I only did use the G key to repeat the Split Polygon tool. But i'll learn much more from now on, because i know that i'll get good tips here like this. |
