Dynamics: Particles

Hey.

I'm working on a project where I need to be able to control the speed of particles emitted from an emitter and the speed at which they are emitted. Essentially so I can slow them down or speed them up simultaneously.

I tried keying the speed attribute in the emitter tab, but it does not effect the speed of particles already in the scene. No luck with the conserve attribute either.

So I was wondering if anyone knows of a solution or if there is a plug-in or per-particle script that would help. I'm using Surface Emitter as well as Curve and Surface Flow.

I guess you can use a velocity per particle linked with the time or frame, maybe with the "sin" so it gets fast and slow...
For a simple acelleration you could use something like this:

particleShape1.velocity=<<10*(time),0,0>>
