Rep Power: 0 ![]() | blobby particle to mulitple emitters I've got 2 emitters connected to one (blobby)particle, so each emitter is putting out the same particles from different locations in space. As such, when they meet in space they will blob together instead of remaining separate the way oil and water would. So the connection looks like this in the hypergraph: emitter1.output[0]------>particleShape1.newParticles[0] emitter2.output[0]------>particleShape1.newParticles[1] Seems like that's the limit, 2 emitters to one particle. If I connect a third emitter to the particle, one of the other emitters will fail to emit. Is there a way around this limitation? |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | 1 partricleShape from multiple emitters To use multiple emitters for one particle, use the Dynamic Relationships editor. 1. Create 2 or more emitters. You can create as many as you need. 2. In the Outliner, delete all but the 1 particle you want to keep. 3. Open Window--> Relationship Editors--> Dynamic Relationships 4. In the right pane, change Selection modes: to Emitters 5. Select the particle on the left pane. You will see that there is a relationship with only the original emitter. 6. In the right pane, highlight the other emitters that you want to use to emit the particle system. Presto! Cheers |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | You can also just leave all the new particles and link them to whatever emitters you want so any given emitter is producing multiple particles with different properties. |
