| Apsolut Beginner | Hi, I got a little problem with batch rendering in Maya 7. I followed all the instructions in the manual but the problem is that maya starts the batch rendering and after a few second it stops by telling me the rendering is completed even though I ment to render about 240 frames. And the result of all this is nothing. When I want to watch the batch render maya tells me there is no image to look at. I'm desperate, help me! |

| Apsolut Beginner | Hi, first of all I have to say that I'm a beginner in 3D so I already want to apologize for a few strange questions that may be asked by myself, so sorry for that. I want to render with mental ray. The actual problem is that I already rendered a full scene during a other project and there it worked. I already thought that it could be that this time I#m using more refraction or reflection stuff, but when I render the current frame it works. Only if I want to start the batchrendering it gives me the message: // Result: Rendering Completed. See Console for more information. // But it renders me a .mb file and not even the .tif which I've chosen in the render settings. Actually I just read this: // Warning: The renderer, mentalRay, used by this scene, is not currently available. The Maya Software renderer will be used instead. // So why am I still able to render the current frame with mental ray? I feel like an idiot, please help me. |

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | Heya, Sounds to me that your maya has gone abit buggy...try deleting your maya folder in your my documents folder so that it resets your settings to the default settings/preferences and then just re-load mental ray in the plugin manager...which can be found in...window>settings and preferences>Plug-in Manager. the name of the mental ray plugin is called....mayatomr.mll. Just tick the load and auto load box and try render again. That might help... mills |
