Watching a Batch rendering in Maya

Hi, I'm an experienced 3dsmax user and I'm learning Maya. I need to know can you watch Maya batch render your scene as it goes through each frame? I've just spent ages trying to figure out how to render more than one frame.

My God, the render settings in Maya are horribly unfriendly to the new user. I had to go searching through a couple of books to find out how to render multiple frames, changing the render output can only be done through the File> Project > New, options and not in the Render settings window?? Its insane! Hopefully they will sort these things out soon, but if anyone knows how to watch a batch render that would be great, thanks.
