the competitions start usually on Monday when a new one is posted and ends Sunday at midnight. and to enter you just post your entry in the forum and u post a wireframe view, and a clay render, and/or a textured model also make sure you put how long it took you to model, texture, and render. all this should be in the rules for the speed modeling comp.

and superwow, do you mean how do they judge the beginners speed modeling comp.? if so i think they judge it by the modeling. that's y they want you to submit a wireframe view, and its a modeling competition
