Delete the occlusion layer in Render Layers and create a new layer with all objects. I have similar problem very often. Make sure that all needed objects are included in the layer. However, trouble can be caused by something else:
- Not correct material
- Mental Ray doesn’t like subdivision surfaces. Try to convert them to polygon.

Can you take out your scene? I will try it on my maya.

When you created a new occlusion layer, a new material was assigned to all selected objects. You have to be sure that occlusion material is assigned to your wall.
