My Entry - The Orbiculator

Concept - The Orbiculator is a ring like self powered teleportation device, the whole mechanism and machinery of the teleporter resides inside its ring like structure which needs to open in half (as u can see in the render) before a person can enter it. This is done through the levers found behind the joint which retract the whole left n right portions of the ring apart, making it possible to enter the ring and stand on the center platform, while the other person operates the device from outside the ring, using Slim-Round LCD display on the right side. The Pointers inside fires M/P energy beams which then transforms the host into digital signals and can be transfered at desired destination.() (Things just keep coming into my mind while i write this, dont mind i am no scientist )

Technical Things:

Modelling time: 1 hour 55 Mins approx.

Method: I started out with a Torus object in max, sliced it into half, then started sub-dividing it. Made the front gas tubes using Extrude/Inset/Bevel/Bridge Techniques. My Goal was to make the ring using a single object only, but later then i had to use Splines to construct things which were not possible using the mesh topology of the Torus, so i used Lathe/Spline Extrude for inner pointers and the Retract levers, thats it.

Conclusion: The initial idea of this thing was given to me by a very close friend, I had a lot of things in my mind but all my time went into experimenting with design as i made this without any reference so many of the details i had to ommit, still i tried to utilize wat time i had left into forming a proper working concept and spend as much time as possible for modelling the whole thing clean. sorry, i am fond of writing, good luck to me n all of u guys...

Minimus: I was busy with my job dear, nice to hear from u too, cya
