| Once you've downloaded DX9.0c, just open the .rar file and find a .exe file named Setup or whatever name that 'sounds' like a installation file. However, I don't really think that its the version of DirectX that causes this problem, it looks like it was caused by your Max. Try to contact Autodesk and I think they should know how to fix the problem.
