to say it like this....my laptop is 6 years old all i have done is updating graphic card drivers and upgrad to 512ram and i only have 60g storage.....and yes....i'm doing lots of 3d modeling on it....but this must be said....the rendering.....TAKES FOR EVER.

but ofcourse if you only making light models easy renders.....or game modeling a lapp top works well....but be care full with the poly count and rendering:)

now i'm speeking out from my own laptop and your is twice as good so i think it will work fine :)


but ps....laptop isn't made for 3d modeling general :P but it works.

ask more if this wasn't clear:)
