I followed this tutorial for 3ds max for making sand.

I dont speak the languae that was used in that tut, but I just followed the image.
this is the final outcome from the tutorial

and this is how mine looks.

mines way too bumpy and it dosetn have that nice soft grainy sand texture like the outcome from the tutorial. What am I doing wroung? Please help me out here.
