Yes ZBrush is for static renders because is not an animation software.

Nowadays more and more people are integrating ZBrush on their workflow for animation projects and even for game industry.

As i said you can animate models created in ZBrush on any 3D app, but oviously not a 5 million polygons model, it would insane to try to animate a model with such amount of polygons, instead you use a low poly version of it and apply the displacement maps or normal maps generated in ZBrush, to give the detail to the model.
